Dear Joe Jonas,

While I wholeheartedly approve of (and encourage) your flagrant disregard of shirts, I mustache you a question and I cannot, in good conscience, shave it for later.

Now, don't get me wrong. You've rocked facial hair in the past (case in point, my icon) and I adored it, but dude, a mustache? No. Please shave it off, and while you're at it, could you grow your hair back? Please?

I think Movember is really, really stupid and I hate the mustaches so much. You do not grow facial hair for charity. You donate money. Growing said mustache will not help the cause in any way. ;_____;

I just don't get it. Maybe I'm missing something? I get bringing awareness to a cause or something but...it's not really helpful. Maybe if someone donates to charity if you have the hideous stache. Maybe if YOU donate to charity to repay people for looking at you. But otherwise it just seems like those pointless "REPOST IF YOU HATE WAR/CANCER/DEAD BABY" posts on facebook.

Oh, I thought that's the way that Movember worked. A guy grows a mustache and people donate money to the charity in support. Huh.

Well, it really doesn't make any sense now.

I think that the point is that all these guys grow horrible mustaches and when people are like, "What the fresh hell are you doing?" they get to say it's for charity and try to convince people to give money for men's prostate cancer and whatnot. But, as long as I've watched people do this, I've never actually seen any of the people growing 'staches donate money. They just grow the mustache and talk about it.

Joe, having a shitload of money, will probably donate. I just don't understand why he can't donate and NOT have a mustache. Gah. Maybe I'm no fun.

I'm with you. Donate the money, that's great, hip hip hooray, but lose the mustache. Oddly enough, I like him with facial stubble, but that's about it.

IT IS BECAUSE NO ONE LOOKS GOOD IN A MUSTACHE UNLESS THEY ARE AN EVIL VILLAIN. Or possibly a cop. Mostly evil villains.

LOL, have you seen Captain America? Because Joe's mustache seriously makes me think of Howard Stark in that movie. But you're right. Only evil villains look good with mustaches.

And RDJ, but really, he has a goatee, so it doesn't technically count as a mustache?

Yes! Aww, baby Howard was so cute. But no, no, he should not have been wearing it. There was a time and a place for mustaches and it is not now.

RDJ could probably wear anything on his face, to be honest. But no, goatees don't count! Mustaches are decidedly more awkward-looking than mustaches alone.

I loved baby Howard so, so much. Although I'm curious now about how he got from young, charismatic baby Howard to the Howard Tony hated. Like, we got a glimpse of how much Howard truly cared about Tony in Iron Man 2, but Tony had the perception that Howard was disappointed and disapproved of him, and I'm just wondering how he got from Point A to Point B. I doubt we'll ever get that explanation in film (and I don't read the comics >.>)

You're right. RDJ is just awesome enough to pull off anything. XD

Comic books are really no help because they have so many "alternate" versions. Generally though, Howard grows up to be a work-crazed alcoholic, which puts a pretty big strain on things. In some versions, his wife dies giving birth to Tony and that does not help either. But in the "main" line, Howard and Maria die together on a plane crash and he was just an alcoholic. He worked for S.H.I.E.L.D too, so he was trying to be secretive.

The other day my mom was like, "I hate that man" and I don't even understand how we are related.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I don't read comics. I don't even know where to start!

Whaaaaaaaat? How can you hate RDJ?! Actually, no, one of my co-workers can't really stand him either, but I think it's because she's focused on his past and hasn't really kept up-to-date with him. I mean, okay, he had a troubled past, he went to jail, whatever. He' s a changed man. Yeah, sure, nine times out of ten, when somebody says they've changed, they're lying, but that's not the case with RDJ. At least, that's not the impression I get from interviews and things. He acknowledges that he fucked up in the past, but you know, he's moved on with his life. It's not really fair to judge him based on things he once did.
