Honestly, so far I completely agree with you about Elena. I'm reading the books and she starts off so selfish, and both of the guys are after her. It reminds me too much of Twilight how two hot guys are after this girl for NO APPARENT REASON.

YES! Granted, I've never read the Twilight books, but I've heard enough to be completely turned off of them forever and ever. I'd rather see Stefan with Caroline, to be honest. There's much more chemistry there, as you'll see in the beginning of Season 2. I dunno, are you just reading the books now or watching the TV show too? Because the TV show and books are VASTLY different.

Oh, yeah, I should've added True Blood on my fandom list... Oh well. XD

But yes, Elena's not all that special.

And really, The Vampire Diaries books came out long before Twilight, so Stephanie Meyers was clearly stealing ideas from.......the author's name escapes me. LJ Smith?

I've only read the first two books though.

LOL I figured that much. I mean, Bonnie's last name isn't even the same. I would have to either rent it on Netflix or something, but I might check out the show.

The first season should be on Netflix. The second season is probably coming out on DVD soon. It's worth a look if you enjoy the books. :D Plus, ...... oh man, the actor's name completely went out of my head ...... OH, David Sanders! Adam Monroe. He shows up in the second half of the first season >___>
