In lieu of a real update...

Although I guess this sort of counts as an update...

GUESS WHAT I DID THIS WEEKEND, GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS?




I designed it myself :D That's the helix symbol from Heroes in the center, and I wanted to combine it with my love of stars. I was playing around with everything in Photoshop, and I came up with the idea of sort of making it look like a flower.

It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I mean, it HURT when he was doing it, but as soon as he stopped, the hurt went away. It was really quick. It felt like a scratch. And then when he started filling in the color, it was a prolonged scratch, lol

I'm so proud of it though, and myself. I didn't swear (out loud) or cry or anything. I guess my pain threshold is higher than I thought.

Mike was really sanitary with it too. He did two other people before me, and he used new needles, fresh ink and even new gloves for each of us. It was pretty awesome to watch him. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for months; I came up with the design back in May or something. I'm glad I finally decided to get it because it looks AWESOME.

And yes, I'd be lying if I didn't say that Milo Ventimiglia's star tattoo was the motivation for me deciding to get a tattoo...even though he's gone and had his removed. XD I didn't want to blatantly copy his tattoo though, even though I thought it was neat. This way, I'm merely paying homage to it.

Also, his was on the underside of his right arm. Mine is on the back of my shoulder, heh.

Heeee <3 I've wanted to get a tattoo for years but I could never decide for sure what I wanted. The location was always the same though, heh. This design just seemed to fit.

I'm serious that it didn't hurt afterward. It hasn't hurt since I got it, which was Saturday. It itches a bit tonight, but that just means that it's healing.

I've been wanting one for such a long time! It's good to read about another person's experience before getting it done. My mother isn't too crazy about the idea, but I'm a grown adult I can make decisions for myself. I wish there was some way that I could comebine something artsy and fandomish at the same time like you did. It looks like you did some thinking on it. Beautiful tatt!

Yeah, my mom wasn't really too crazy about it either, but she said that it's my body, I can do what I want with it, lol. I'm sure you could find a way to combine something artsy with something fandomish. Just gotta give it some thought. :) Thank you.
