Yes! :D Most (contemporary) vampire novels are set in LA or New York, and I'll admit, I've been guilty of basing a lot of my vampire stuff in New York. I wanted to go for something different, and I'm familiar enough with Orlando (I live two hours south of there and visit frequently) that I thought it would be a good setting. Sure, there aren't as many dark alleys like you might find in New York, but all the better to hide, right? Because who would expect a vampire to be somewhere like Orlando, which is synonymous with something wholesome and fun like Disney World?
